The Firm - Historical Timeline

Named after Norm Andregg in 1946, Andregg Geomatics has distinguished itself throughout the decades as an industry leader in surveying, mapping and geomatics. The firm has grown from 3 staff members to more than 45 individuals in four offices throughout Northern California and Reno, Nevada. As advances in technology have transformed the surveying profession, Andregg Geomatics takes pride in its lasting reputation for providing exceptional surveying services with increased efficiency, productivity, and innovative solutions. This commitment to technology and client service has led Andregg's professional staff to stay at the forefront of today's technology.



1960’s: Major projects include Auburn Faith Hospital, Auburn Country Club, and the Tavern Development in Lake Tahoe. The Tahoe Tavern project was the first to include measurements of trees for preservation purposes



1980’s: Dennis Meyer becomes CEO and president in 1981. During the Eighties, he was a pioneer in bringing GPS surveying to the Placer County area.





2002: Andregg Geomatics opens office in Truckee, CA.

2004: Andregg opens offices in Reno, NV and Vacaville, CA. Andregg also acquires High Definition Surveying (HDS) technology
2006: Andregg Geomatics
celebrates its 60th anniversary


2009: Andregg Geomatics is a key member of the AEC team provided surveying and mapping of over 2,000 square miles of the central California valley for flood studies.
1946: Norm Andregg opens an office in Auburn, California.

 

1970’s: Major projects include the rehabilitation of the Auburn Airport and
the Talmont Estates in Lake Tahoe, CA.



1990’s: Andregg Geomatics accurately surveys 8 drill locations for a 3-mile water tunnel 320 feet below the surface in the Sierra Nevada mountain range. Andregg’s GPS experience leads to many major land development projects including the 5,500-acre Twelve Bridges Project, one of the largest master-planned communities in Northern California.



2003: Andregg is named one of Sacramento’s one hundred Fastest-Growing Companies
 


2005: The Sacramento Business Journal names Andregg a top 25 Engineering Firm within the greater Sacramento area

2008: Andregg Geomatics lands contract for the “Big Build” at Sacramento International Airport

LAX 2010: Andregg Geomatics selected to provide survey services to construct newest LAX Bradley West Terminal
